About Pepper Hustler

Pepper freak, board member, dancehall lover and bbq addict.Webmaster of the chillifair.eu website, responsible editor for all promotional material, member of the promotion team, and board member of the non-profit organization behind chillifair.eu.My tasks are diverse, but mainly include the technical side of the festival. Hereby I am heavily supported by my girlfriend Kristien who is mainly responsible for communication, and registration of exhibitors and food contests, and Bernus who keeps himself busy with figures, legislation and local contacts such as the municipality of Ham. The three of us form the board of the association.Furthermore we have a whole team of volunteers who are not only on standby on the day of chillifair itself, but are also regularly asked for their expertise so that together we can make the Belgian chilifest an amazing party for young and old.

Extreme Hot HAMburger Eating Contest

The Extremely Hot HAMburger competition is an annual eating contest held during Western Europe’s spiciest festival: Chillifair.eu at Ham. The Concept is quite simple, each participant gets an Extremely Hot Hamburger, and has to eat it completely. Whoever is first wins the competition.

So while the concept is quite simple, you should definitely not underestimate this contest: It is not called the Extremely Hot HAMburger competition for nothing.
What we as an organisation label as EXTREMELY HOT at a chilli festival is only for real champions.

Developing a mustard recipe is a tough assignment! Mustard may not have many ingredients, but the proportions are very decisive for the final taste.

A lot of time and energy was spent in 2006 working out the right recipe. Selecting ingredients, mixing, resting and tasting. To then start all over again. Step by step we arrived at a basic recipe that has a perfect balance between taste and spice.
